About the Artist

Michelle Honey is an oil painter best known for her work on Nantucket Island. Inspired by local artists Illya Kagan and Sharon Woods Hussey, as well as other artists including Wolf Kahn, Abbott Fuller Graves and Henri Matisse, she specializes in plein air style landscapes and impressionist florals and still lifes.

She has a degree in Architecture from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Business degree from Georgetown University.

She is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects and a member of the Artist Association of Nantucket and Capitol Hill Art League.

She currently maintains studios in Annapolis, Maryland, and on Nantucket Island.

She is inspired by her father, Thomas Harold Philibert, who was an artist and architect in the 1940s through the 1980s in New York City.

She is represented by galleries in New York City and in Washington, DC.
